Hearing Instruments

The Audiology Department provides a complete line of advanced, high quality hearing instruments. Hearing devices are categorized by their level of technology and are available in a variety of styles including behind the ear, in the ear, in the ear canal and completely in the canal. All hearing instruments are custom made.

Digital hearing instruments are programmed via computer and therefore are more flexible. The can be re-programmed if hearing level fluctuates or decreases. In addition to flexibility, the digital hearing device provides less distortion and more clarity. It works by analyzing sounds up to 1,000 times per second and automatically adjusts itself to the situation, so there is no volume control to worry about.
