About Us

The Mercy Children’s Hospital Foundation is a charitable, tax-exempt public foundation founded in 1999 for the purpose of supporting the vision and goals of Mercy Children’s Hospital. A distinguished Board of local professional, business, medical and civic leaders governs Foundation operations and philanthropic investment activities.

Mercy Children’s is a proud member hospital of the Children’s Miracle Network, an alliance of premier children’s hospitals. Representing the Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan region, all funds raised by Children’s Miracle Network sponsors are channeled through the Mercy Children’s Hospital Foundation and help to enhance a variety of programs and services offered at Mercy Children’s Hospital. Programs funded through the Foundation allow Mercy Children’s to maintain its leadership in quality care.

Grateful patients, dedicated active and retired employees, corporations, organizations, appreciative families and friends of the hospital jointly form the mainstay of this institution. Our commitment to exemplary care and pledge to heal our communities, especially the poor and underserved, is only possible through charitable contributions from a generous and dedicated family of supporters.

Mercy Children’s Hospital Foundation accepts gifts through bequests, gift annuities, charitable remainder and lead trusts, gifts of real estate, gifts of appreciated securities and other select charitable arrangements. Donors contributing an annual gift of $1,000 or more are welcomed as members of the Ketterer Society and recognized on the Wall of Honor in the front lobby of Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. Donors contributing cumulative gifts exceeding $50,000 are recognized as members of the Marguerite d’Youville Society and their names are permanently inscribed on the Wall of Honor in the front lobby of Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center and the reception area of Mercy Children’s. Individuals who choose to leave a charitable legacy gift are recognized as members of the Valentine Wall Society and are recognized with their names permanently inscribed on the Wall of Honor in the front lobby of Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center.
