Genetics Program
The Northwest Ohio Regional Genetics Center at Mercy Children’s Hospital offers a comprehensive range of clinical, laboratory, and outreach services as well as educational programs and family support networking for individuals with heredity disorders or at-risk pregnancy. Services include consultation, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and genetic counseling for genetic disorders. Laboratory testing includes chromosome analysis, molecular markers, DAN profiling, amino acid analysis, organic acid screening, and metabolic screening. The Center serves Northwest Ohio as part of the Ohio Department of Health’s statewide genetics program.
