Coronary Microvascular Disease (CMD)
CMD is a heart disease that affects the smallest coronary arteries of the heart. It is not always caused by artery blockage like
CHD. It is more commonly found in women than men and can be a genetic condition or linked to diabetes or hypertension. CMD is also sometimes referred to as cardiac syndrome X or nonobstructive CHD.
