Mercy Tiffin Hospital opened a new hospital in July of 2008 featuring state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. The new hospital has enhanced the abilities of our highly skilled professionals and medical staff members in providing care you can believe in.

Our emergency center offers:

• Standard emergency care 24/7
• 12-Bed unit
• All RN stable staff
• To assist physicians with patients a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is available 8 hours per day
• One call access to trauma centers
• Bedside Registration

Mercy Quick Care
Mercy Tiffin introduces Mercy Quick Care, a service offered within the Emergency Room.  A practitioner is devoted to Mercy Quick Care from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. seven days a week, hours that are considered peak times in the emergency room.

Upon arrival, the emergency team determines a patient’s degree of illness through the triage process and quickly separates non-urgent patients from urgent patients. The priority of the emergency room is to care for those with urgent conditions first but, with the introduction of this service, the patient presenting with a non-urgent illness or injury will receive diagnostic care and treatment much more quickly.

This enhanced process will allow patients with non-urgent symptoms such as cuts, sprains or strains, sore throats or ear aches to see a physician or nurse practitioner, receive treatment and exit the emergency department quickly.
