Our Physicians
Specialized care for expectant mothers and their babies
The Mercy Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians are specially trained to diagnose, treat and provide ongoing care for expectant mothers who may be at high risk for special health problems.
Drs. Perni and Jean-Pierre are backed by the broadest range of subspecialty care available in the city of Toledo. Mercy Children's Hospital is the only hospital in the area to provide interventional cardiac catheterizations and cardiac surgery, in conjunction with the University of Michigan. St. V’s Children’s also has the only pediatric nephrologist in the city and has a Level III, (the highest level of accreditation possible) Regional Perinatal Unit.
