About those McDonald’s Fries…
Remember this: McDonald’s French fries are still not a health food. It’s true that they now contain one-third the amount of artery-clogging trans fat and saturated fat than they had before. But they still have 540 calories. And they still have trans fat and saturated fat, just not as much.
The Institute of Medicine, a government agency, has stated that there is no “safe” level of trans fatty acids. The Food and Drug Administration is currently establishing requirements for all food manufacturers to list trans fat amounts on their labels.
Obviously, the healthiest thing to do is avoid the fries altogether and eat a small baked potato instead.
