Be Wary about Supplements Promising To Make You Look and Feel Younger
When you see ads for so-called “anti-aging” supplements, here’s what you need to know: there are two reasons why the supplements are rarely effective. Reason one: they say they contain the growth hormone, called hGH, that appears naturally in the body and gradually declines with age, but they actually contain very little of this hormone. And even when the supplements do contain hGH, the body is not able to absorb it quickly enough. The hGH molecule begins to break down as soon as you take it, whether you take it as a pill or as a spray.
These kinds of supplements fall under that old category—if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
