Mercy Tiffin Foundation
Mercy Tiffin Hospital has served Tiffin, Seneca County and the surrounding area for nearly 100 years. Ground was broken on the original hospital on October 5, 1912 and the first patient admitted on September 13, 1913. Since Mercy Tiffin opened its doors under its first administrator, Mother Mary Bernardine McMullen, it has served our community well through the provision of excellent and compassionate care. Mercy Tiffin’s mission is quite clear in extending the healing ministry of Jesus by improving the health of our communities with emphasis on people who are poor and under-served. Mercy’s Core Values of compassion, excellence, human dignity, justice, sacredness of life and service enable Mercy’s physicians and professionals to carry out this mission on a daily basis.
Our professional staff at Mercy Tiffin Hospital is extremely pleased to offer care you can believe in to our community through the wide array of services offered. You, your family members, friends and neighbors can trust your health to our compassionate and highly qualified professionals thanks in large part to the generous support of those who have generously donated to the Mercy Tiffin Foundation ever since plans were first made to build a hospital in Tiffin. We continue to offer the latest in medical technology; it is extremely important to us that you and your loved ones receive excellent services without the need to travel in a kind and caring manner. Today, thanks to the vision of leaders such as Tom Eberly and the late Dr. Walter A. Daniel, the Mercy Tiffin Foundation exists to ensure that excellent quality healthcare is provided to our community now and well into the future.
