Tiffin, OH - Lynne Cartwright is the recipient of the Volunteer Excellence Award for the first quarter of 2014 at Mercy Tiffin Hospital. Approximately 140 volunteers help fulfill Mercy’s mission of caring for the sick and injured through their generous giving of time and talent. Lynne was presented with the award at the April 16 Volunteer Forum held in the McMullen Conference Center at Mercy Tiffin.
The Volunteer Excellence Award is presented each quarter, and then annually, to a volunteer who is nominated by either a fellow volunteer or Mercy Tiffin employee. The award was created to recognize a Mercy volunteer who goes above and beyond the requirements of their volunteer assignment and reflects the Mission and Core Values of Mercy.
“Lynne is always so helpful,” said Laurie Kaple, Rural Division Manager of Retail Services. “She always smiles and will do anything for you. She is so pleasant to talk to and always keeps things so neat in the gift shop.”
Lynne has been a volunteer at Mercy Tiffin since 2009 and has spent her time volunteering in the gift shop. Lynne has a strong ability to multi-task, as well as the ability to juggle many tasks at once and moves quickly to get everything accomplished. She loves to speak to customers and almost always enhances their visit to Mercy Tiffin with either her knowledge or her kind words. Lynne is a high energy volunteer.
“Lynne is reliable and a true asset to our gift shop,” said Laurie. “She is very deserving of this recognition.”
“We value our volunteers who provide extremely important service to all those who use our hospital services as well as our employees and physicians,” said Bernie Steinmetz, Manager of Development, Donor Relations and Volunteers. “Lynne is a shining example of what our volunteer program is all about and we are very pleased to be able to recognize her.”
