Autism Program - P.L.A.Y. Plus Project
P.L.A.Y Plus services consist of A trained P.L.A.Y. Home Consultant will visit the child in his/her home approximately 10 times a year for 2 – 3 hours completing the traditional P.L.A.Y. Project, teaching the parents how to provide intensive, one-on-one, play-based services to their children with autism. Feedback to parents will be given on an on-going basis through the review of video taped interactions or P.L.A.Y. sessions between the child and his/her caregivers. In addition to the P.L.A.Y Project home consultation, one hour of Occupational Therapy and one hour of Speech Therapy weekly will be provided in the clinic. A trained P.L.A.Y. Partner will provide P.L.A.Y. therapy in the home six hours/week.
Cost of P.L.A.Y. Plus:
Ohio children between the ages of 3 and 5 with a diagnosis of ASD, may qualify for the Ohio Autism Scholarship. Those children that do not qualify for the scholarship may work out a payment plan with the Autism Clinic, and a list of grants are available for the parents to apply for assistance with the cost of the program.
