Palliative Care
Accross the Lifespan
What is Palliative Care Across the Lifespan?
At Mercy, we respect life at all stages from expectant mothers, infants, children and throughout adulthood. Palliative Care Across the Lifespan provides compassionate and individualized care to anyone with a serious, life limiting illness to promote the best quality of life possible. Whenever serious, life limiting illness occurs, difficult and often lonely challenges need to be faced. Expert attention may be needed to control pain and suffering. We offer family centered and developmentally individualized care and support with specialized interdisciplinary teams. Our goal is to focus on meeting the medical, spiritual and emotional needs of babies, children, their parents and adults with serious, life limiting illness, as well as everyone who cares for them.
Palliative Care Across the Lifespan has two specialized interdisciplinary teams: the Adult Palliative Care Team and the Maternal-Child/Palliative Care Team to provide the appropriate care at every age.
