Mercy St. Vincent Birthing Center provides Level III Neonatal Services, the highest designation for treating high-risk mothers and babies who need specialized care and treatment. Our services also include a comprehensive critical transportation network through Life Flight and our mobile intensive care units.
Whether your delivery is routine or complex, you'll have the comfort of knowing that you and your baby are being cared for by dedicated and highly trained professionals.
Birthing Suites
The Birthing Center at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center was designed to give our patients and their families privacy, comfort and security. It features eight home-like birthing suites where labor, delivery and recovery take place; a sleeper chair is also in the suite for an overnight guest. Family Care rooms, just down the hall from the Birthing Suites, insure a new mother's privacy and rest, and can accommodate family and visiting friends.

Hydro TherapyA the Birthing Center a whirlpool is available for pain management during labor.
Breastfeeding Pump and Weight Scale Rental
For patients who are in need of these special services, equipment can be obtained directly at the hospital for home use.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - Level III Services

This specialized unit, which is operated in conjunciton with Mercy Children's Hospital, has a complete staff of obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatricians and anesthesiologists in-house 24 hours a day to care for newborns that need specialized care. Maternal Fetal Medicine
Mercy Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists are available for:
- Preconception Counseling
- Genetic Counseling
- Management of high-risk complications, such as:
- Medical complications in the mother, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney disease
- Preterm labor
- Multiple gestations (twins, triplets, etc.)
- Multiple pregnancy loss
- Blood-clotting disorders
- Advanced maternal age (at least 35 years or older)
