Mercy Integrated Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) Program is one of the most successful and respected CLS programs in the nation. This reputation is based on the fact that our certification scores are consistently among the highest in the nation. Since 2003 our scores have been the highest of over 200 programs nationwide. We contribute our success to our small class sizes, individual instruction, committed faculty, and our new state-of-the-art facility. We are strongly committed to providing students with the best educational experience possible.

The Program is based in Mercy Integrated Laboratories on the campus of  Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. This new state-of-the-art laboratory opened in March of 2000 and services Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Mercy St. Anne, Mercy St. Charles and Mercy Children's Hospital (a total of over 700 beds) in addition to outreach, outpatient and long-term care facilities throughout the region. The lab employs approximately 180 professionals to perform over 1.7 million tests a year.

Mercy Integrated CLS Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS)*. The program was established in 1950 and until the year 2000 operated as Riverside School of Medical Technology where all graduates passed a National Certification Examination to become MT (ASCP) Medical Technologists and/or CLS (NCA) Clinical Laboratory Scientists.
